Mothers Against Drunk Driving - If you or a loved one has been affected by a drunk driving crash, MADD can help with: grief and emotional support, injury support, the legal process, and financial recovery.
CASA of Larimer County & Harmony House Visitation Center - CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Inc. of Larimer County is a non-profit organization that trains volunteers to speak up for children, who are involved in Dependency and Neglect filings. CASA has served Larimer County since 1984 as an independent chapter of the National CASA Association.
CASA also administrates the Harmony House Supervised Visitation Center program in Fort Collins and Loveland to provide a homelike setting for children to visit with their non-custodial family members. Harmony House also provides supervised exchange services. These visitations and exchanges may or may not be court ordered and are assessed on a sliding scale fee.
Both CASA and the Harmony Houses serve children from birth to age 18 in Larimer County and the 8th Judicial District.
Estes Valley Victim Advocates - Estes Valley Victim Advocates provides 24 hour emergency crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, other crimes and trauma. Estes Valley Victim Advocates' Safehouse is a place where women and their children can find refuge from domestic violence. The Safehouse is at a confidential location, and all services are free. Women and children can stay there for as long as six weeks. Counseling is provided, as well as referrals, assistance in finding employment, legal aid, and support.
Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County - Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County is a unique organization consisting of two Club facilities and one extension program. Our goal is to provide every child with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future.
Project Self Sufficiency - Since 1986, Project Self-Sufficiency (PS-S) has been assisting low-income single parents in Larimer County in their efforts to achieve economic independence, and become free from community and government assistance.
Crossroads Safehouse - Crossroads offers free safehousing, advocacy, legal assistance, transitional housing, and education. At our secure Safehouse we annually provide food, clothing, and support for over 300 residents. The Crossroads Outreach Center offices our administrative staff and is often the first contact point for donors, volunteers, and outreach clients. Each year we provide more than 14,000 units of service to thousands of clients and program attendees. In 2007, Crossroads sheltered an average of 35 individuals a night in our Safehouse and transitional housing units, for a total of 12,892 nights of service.
ChildSafe Sexual Abuse Treatment Center - We believe in a comprehensive, community-based approach to the problem of child sexual abuse. We coordinate services with law enforcement, child protection agencies, schools, medical professionals, and other mental health providers. We provide Northern Colorado's only comprehensive outpatient treatment program for victims and their families. Our program combines group, individual, and family therapy to heal the trauma of sexual abuse.
Larimer County Community Corrections - Community Corrections works to reintegrate adult felony offenders into the local community. Community Corrections provides the following services in residential and nonresidential settings to offenders: individual and group counseling, life skills training, financial planning and management, and crisis intervention. Community Corrections assists the courts and the Larimer County Detention Center by making bond recommendations so that people who are not a danger to the community are released pending court appearance.
SAVA Center - The SAVA Center is a non-profit, volunteer agency which has been serving this community since 1977. Our primary focus is to support people affected by sexual assault and reduce sexual violence in Larimer County through education.
Our services are confidential and include: a 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline that provides support and assistance to sexual assault victims, their families, and friends; information and referrals concerning the law enforcement, medical, and legal processes; support groups and individual counseling for sexual assault survivors and their loved ones; several community education programs on sexual assault awareness; and special events to promote a creative means of healing.
Larimer Center for Mental Health - The Larimer Center for Mental Health's mission is to deliver to the residents of Larimer County high quality mental health treatment, education and supportive services to promote improved quality of life for persons with emotional and stress-related disorders and mental illness.
Alternatives to Violence - ATV is committed to intervention in, education about, and prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes.
Partners Mentoring Youth - Partners Mentoring Youth of Larimer County is a Northern CO volunteer program that matches positive adult role models with youth, ages 8-17, who could use a little extra support; the same type of support we have all had at some point in our lives.
