Vote Center Conference Recap

With statewide attention on Vote Centers growing, the Larimer County Elections Department decided to host a statewide conference on Vote Centers on February 1, 2005 at the Larimer County Courthouse. Over 25 county election departments from across the state of Colorado as well as a county election task force attended.

Along with a full day of presentations, two mock Vote Centers were set up in the Courthouse. One was set up to recreate a larger, urban area Vote Center. The other recreated a smaller, rural area Vote Center. Staff members attended the mock Vote Centers to guide conference attendees through the different stations. Several sample electronic poll books were set up in the mock Vote Centers to allow attendees to test the application.

The following is a list of presentations provided at the conference. For more detailed information about any of the presentations or the conference in general, please contact the Larimer County Elections Department at (970) 498-7820.
