To provide health screening and counseling related to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, anemia and recommended vaccinations to mature adults living in Larimer County.

Adult Wellness Services:

  • Health screening for blood pressure, heart and lung diseases, diabetes, and anemia
  • Referrals for low cost blood tests such as cholesterol, thyroid, prostate (PSA test).
  • Community referrals and recommendations for medical follow-up.
  • Information and assessment of health risks due to physical, social, emotional, and economic conditions.
  • Health counseling on safety and lifestyle issues, and review of medicines.
  • Immunizations (influenza, pneumonia, and tetanus-diphtheria).

  1. What is the cost of a clinic visit?
    Clinic visits cost $10, but no one is refused services due to inability to pay. Laboratory tests such as cholesterol screening cost an additional $18 - $45 (determined by the actual fee charged by the lab).
  2. Who qualifies to attend clinics?
    Any adult living in Larimer County may attend regardless of income.
  3. I live in a rural area of the County. Are clinics available in my area?
    Clinics are provided at Red Feather Lakes Community Center, Bellvue Grange and Poudre Park Community Center twice a year as well as in Fort Collins and Loveland.
  4. Will my health insurance pay for these services?
    Generally insurance companies do not cover these services.
  5. Will my lab. test results be available at the clinic?
    Tests for anemia and diabetes are done during the clinic visit, but cholesterol and other blood screenings must be done at a laboratory which has the necessary lab testing equipment. The nurse will make a referral and help you find a location available to you. She will also help you to interpret the results.
  6. Does the adult health clinic replace my annual physical exam at the doctor's office?
    These clinic services can supplement the health care provided by the doctor and are not intended to replace it.
