Larimer County Commissioner Lew Gaiter to serve on Colorado State Board of Health

Larimer County Commissioner and Board Chair Lew Gaiter III has been appointed to serve on the Colorado State Board of Health. His 4-year term ends on March 2021.
Gaiter previously served on the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council [SEMTAC] for 6 years. “After serving on SEMTAC for six years it’s very exciting to serve the citizens of the State of Colorado as a new member of the Board of Health,” said Gaiter.
The Colorado State Board of Health is a rule-making board which enacts rules related to public health, approves funding for public health grant programs and appoints members to department committees.
The Colorado Board of health regularly engages in important health areas such as disease control, immunization, emergency preparedness, food safety, radiation management, public health improvement, emergency medical services, and medical marijuana registry.
