2010 Park Permit Fee Increases on Agenda for Larimer County Parks Advisory Board Meeting - November 10, 2009

At the November Larimer County Parks Advisory Board meeting, the Board will consider a final recommendation to the County Commissioners on proposed park permit fee increases for 2010. The public is invited to attend and offer comment on the proposed changes.

The Larimer County Parks Advisory Board will meet on November 10, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., in the Boyd Lake Room, at the Larimer County Courthouse Office Building, at 200 West Oak Street, Fort Collins, CO.
 
Topics to be discussed at this meeting include:
  • 2010 Recommended Park Permit Fee Increases
  • Estes Valley Campground Partnership – Final Contract Recommendation
  • Big Thompson Canyon Public Access property status update
  • Carter Lake Sail Club License Renewal

We need to wake up the parks to the changes that need to happen. 1) annual pass that is valid one year from the month you buy it. 2) trail maintenance (never have seen this happen) 3) annual pass that you can take with you: bike, car, hike, walk in. a pass for the person.

Right now the parks are not following the vision statement of the county: Building partnerships Being Customer Driven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Empowering people to take responsibility being a fulfilling and enjoyable place to work being a good steward of public resources!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 groups I plan to mobilize include the mt. bikers, trail runners, and hikers!

Right now the county's parks are out dated and are not serving the hard working tax paying residence of Larimer county.
