Bring the Family to the Garbage Garage Saturday Programs!

The Garbage Garage, Larimer County’s waste and recycling education center, is offering three Saturday programs for families this fall and winter:

I WANT IT! I NEED IT! This session will emphasize reducing waste and consumption by exploring advertising and media messages and how they affect us as consumers. October 6, 2007, 10 a.m. to noon.
TRIMMING YOUR HOLIDAY WASTELINE. Learn fun and creative ways to reduce waste throughout the holiday season. December 1, 2007, 10 a.m. to noon.
TURNING TRASH INTO TREASURE. Unleash your creativity and get some terrific ideas for making new stuff out of old stuff. (And, it’s a great way to prepare for the annual spring Reusable Art contest!) February 2, 2008, 10 a.m. to noon.

All classes will be held at the Garbage Garage Education Center (see map) at the Larimer County Landfill, 5887 S. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins.
