Electronic Waste

At the Larimer County Landfill Disposal of televisions, computers & monitors are limited to: one per visit for household customers (cubic yard rate applies).

If you have more than one of these types of electronics they can be taken to the electronics recycling station, Recycle America, located inside the Larimer County Landfill. There is a fee for electronics recycling. (cash only).

Recycle America accepts electronics at $ .40 per lb. Goldstar, Zenith, LG and Bose televisons, are currently free.

Electronic recycling does not include: dismantled computers or televisions, small appliances, microwave ovens or other electrical equipment such as electric weed eaters or electric mowers. These are considered waste and charged as such.

The Electronics Station accepts electronics such as:

  • Computers/CPUs, peripherals, (mice, keyboards, speakers), monitors
  • Fax machines
  • Photocopiers
  • Printers, toner cartridges
  • Televisions
  • VCRs, DVD players
  • Microwave ovens
  • Electric alarm clocks
  • Land line phones and cell phones
  • Stereos

Unacceptable items are:

  • Fire and smoke alarms and detectors
  • Carbon monoxide detectors

Hours of operation:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Third Saturday of the month 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Fees:

$ .40 per pound CASH ONLY

Televisions made by LG, Zenith, Bose or Goldstar are FREE. Sony products are no longer being accepted for free.
