City of Thornton 1041 application ready for review by county

Larimer County received a 1041 permit application in December 2023 from the city of Thornton to construct a water pipeline through Larimer County and is now ready for formal review by Larimer County.

The pipeline will also travel through Weld and Larimer County.

The county had 60 days to determine whether all required materials were submitted so the application could proceed to a formal review and public hearings. On February 1 Larimer County verified the application contained all required submissions and documents and is ready for formal review by relevant county departments and external agencies.

The county will schedule public hearings with the Larimer County Planning Commission and Board of Larimer County Commissioners. The Board of Larimer County Commissioners will make a final decision on the application. The dates of the public hearings will be announced no later than March 2, 2024.
