Office on Aging Advisory Council
The Office on Aging Advisory Council advises the Board of County Commissioners and the Office on Aging on all matters of planning for older adults. The primary purpose of the Council is to carry out the objectives and intent of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended.
Membership of the Council shall represent a cross section of the population of Larimer County, provided that 50 percent (50%) of the membership shall be age sixty (60) or older. Representatives from aging supportive services, individuals from the private or corporate sector and representatives of socially disadvantaged groups shall be actively recruited to become members. It is the goal of the Council to be representative in terms of ethnic origin, gender, income level, geographic areas and population centers in Larimer County.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:30-3:30pm. Locations of meeting vary each month. Please see the meeting agenda for specific location information. The date, time and location of meetings are subject to change and can be found on the meeting agenda. Meetings are open to the public.
