Disaster/Emergency Preparedness Training

Members of the Larimer OEM team are more than happy to come provide a short, 1-2 hour training on Emergency Preparedness to your place of business, HOA, community group, etc.

What You Can Expect:

We believe in training preparedness in such a way that it participants leave feeling empowered, not fearful. We will discuss the types of hazards that exist in Larimer County, as well as available resources, but also heavily emphasize the role of every individual in ensuring their own level of preparation and planning. We utilize the How to Prepare for Everything concept originally developed by Larimer County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster member Aaron Titus, in which we teach participants how to prepare for disruptions vs disasters. The training is very interactive, and participants will leave with the tools they need to jump start their preparedness planning as individuals and for their families.

The training is also flexible in that we can tailor the training to meet the potentially specific needs of the group (i.e. caretakers). Additionally, if you are looking for a more specialized training, such as specific medical trainings or such things as CPR/AED training we can help connect you to potential resources or organizations that can help!
